WHO WE ARE:

Milton Runners with Ed Whitlock and Ed JoopThe Milton Runners’ are a group of running enthusiasts based in Milton, Ontario. We meet every Sunday at 9 AM at THE MILTON LEISURE CENTRE located on Main St. just East of Thompson Rd. in Milton for our weekly long run. Following the run, we meet again at the Tim Horton’s Country Style coffee shop located at the North West corner of Ontario and Derry.

Includes:

  • Walking group
  • Walk/Run Group
  • Run Group
Duration 45 Mins plus depending on the training period Out and Back routes to maintain contact with all club members - Nobody runs alone!

TRACK NIGHT:

6:30 PM at Milton District High School on Commercial Street every Wednesday Night SPRING TO FALL

Track will resume again in April 2008 - 6 PM

Track Consists of:

  • Starting with 800 meter warm up
  • Form drills (new drills always welcome)
  • Some strength / flexibility
  • The main set
  • 800 meters cool down

The work on the main sets will be based on your current 10K time and goal time. If you do not know your goal time. or have never run that far, do not worry.

The LAST Track (Wednesday) of the month is beer & wings, normally planned for 8 P.M. at the Ivy Arms, for those who do not do track.

Run the Flats 10 km and 5 km Run

1st Annual “Run the Flats” - 5K and 10K Run

When: Sunday, May 4th, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. Where: Milton, Ontario - Start at PUR Fitness at the northwest corner of Derry and 1st Line Course: Out and back going south on 1st line, it is flat and fast. Who: Girls and Women of all ages and abilities Cost: 10K - $35.00, 5K - $30.00, girls under 18 $20 either race, Includes a technical T-shirt. How to Register: online at www.womenstriathlon.com. It is open now Register before April 15th to ensure you receive a t-shirt. Charity: All proceeds will go to the Willow Foundation for Seniors in Milton. Light refreshments will follow.
